Fishing Reports

4th October.  Rainbow trout fisheries back in great form and excellent autumn sport in prospect - weather permitting. Closed season now for brown trout. Coarse waters still have a few weeks left in them and the pike fisheries are coming back into form. Just watch the weather and wait for those better windows.

Cleabarrow Tarn

cleabarrow25th September.  Still some lovely carp and tench coming out of Cleabarrow along with the odd old bream. And still only fairly lightly fished at the moment so peace, quiet and a few good fish are more or less guaranteed.

Grasmere and Rydal

grasmere 25th September. Activity is likely to pick up on both waters as the holiday crowds thin out and cooler conditions move in. No reports of anything major but most visitors are managing a fish or two.
